Today at work, i found a little 10 cent coin on the floor of my booth. I looked but I didn’t do anything, i just left it there… later on i came back and it was on the same place, and still… I didn’t do anything.
When i left work, i caught a subway to come home and i had one earphone in while i distractly looked out the window. Then sudden of all, i hear a spanish talking pretty loud, i looked over and there was two chilean brothers, one with a acoustic guitar and the other one with a flute, then they played this pretty attention-catching song, no voice… only the sound of the instruments…. and when i looked around, everyone was in silence, just listening.
They asked for a coin, so they could have a beer on a friday night. And at the same moment i thought about that little coin that, for a minute, it meant nothing to me, but to them meant their friday night out in Brazil.
I gave them all the coins i could find inside my bag and they said: Today is friday, let’s forget sadness and give attention to happiness.
Enjoy your friends, your family, or even yourself… because little things only turn big when you lose it, so make it big now!
Well, I can say it was a good start for a friday night…
